GUAVA IX Rick Simpson Oil & Orange Runtz Untrimmed Flower
Now, I'm give my dosing, but I also realize peope.are different. That said, this paper has to be like a.cancer treatment regimen cause I'd be drooling all day.
They recommend after a slight tolerance building period, 1/2gram twice a day. That's alot. 😂 for real, that's alot.
I take around 100MG. I had some push back on my take using 1000 MG to judge the RSO on reddit so here's the explanation.. . .it like most of my stuff is to simplify understanding it.
1 gram is 10 units in a 💉 (its an edible squares, if u haven't figured it out yet) is equal to approximately 1000 MG. The way to figure out the actual amount, say 73.6% that's about 740 MG. So if 1 unit is 100 MG in a 1K 1 gram then 73.6% 1 unit is 74 MG. This is a half gram so if we go by 73.6% which is an average of most I've had, so 37MG. I use the 1000 mg because its easier and i can think easier than doing all the numbers and math. Just take away the 0s and add em back on after u summ up everything.
Its easier to me, if you learned some weird new approach to math it makes none to you, but im sire if u try itll make sense, its very intuitive.
Orange Runtz Is a gorgeous strain that is one of those confusing to alot of people due to its presentation and the genetics. Runtz is a cross of Gelato x Zkittles. A very very illicitly minded hybrid strain. It's really Imo the pinnacle of the illicit market mashing with the medicinal before states took off with everything. I say so because it pull in density of indicas and potency punch of sativas.
This is a blend crossed with a strai. Known as African orange, a cross of Malawi x zagent Orange. Malawi is the significant strain here and I'll be comparing it to my recent review of Gorilla Glue by Grow West Cannabis Dispensary Grow West Cannabis Company and you'll understand why if you stick with me. Malawi is an Heirloom sativa hailing from. The South East African Santa Cruz Mountains, Mountains is important. Remember I live and Grow West Grows In a mountainous environment. The significance of Heirloom genetics is great.
An Heirlolm is such because it is nature's selected for premium cannabis surviving that area. It can be found growing wild. The genetics are stable, much more so than Any hybrid genetics. Stable meaning the strength of the phenotypical expression is hard to alter, or moreover, it is easy for it break through less stable genetic characteristics.
Here the Malawi is pushing through in the Orange runtz, and I have seen this happen tome and time again, when Heirloom or landrace genetics are applied specifically skipping a generation between, so 2 generations back. For some reason maybe coincidendental but I've noted this pattern, when these strains happen, there is landrace or heirloom genetics 2 generation back.
Gelato is Sunset sherbert x thin Mint gSC (Girl Scout Cookies). Both of these provide a significant sativa contribution, as per strains developed around this time and before as the medicinal market they were supplying was also selling to an illicit national market. I have discussed this phenomena before, and it's part of my understanding of the Illicit scene. That is the extremeification of a substance desired by society that is made illicit by legislation.
In cannabis this appeared in a few ways and there's a cpl other facts like the dislike of Mexican indica cannabis so cannabis was produced to not resemble indica aroma at all. This avoidance of these aromas in order to maximize sale at least on the illicit market which was arguably impacting these strains in the mid 2000s development Moreno even than demands of the medicinal market. The country supplies a but more than the state.
So we see here, for example, Sunset Sherbert, regardless of the story you believe on its creation, whether it was accidental or Sherbinski knew what he was doing, it crosses sativa over the nice fairly dense slightly sativa leaning GSC. This is crossed with thin Mint GSC. Think about what thin Mint insinuates. Thin leaves, and mentholated taste and smell, so sativa leaning. This is a cross of Durban Poison x oG Kush.
ZKITTKES is Grape ape X grapefruit so there we have very significant Indica contribution through and through, giving a 70/30 indica lean. The reason i break down these genetics I'd because cannabis is so understudied and people need to be here looking for patterns that would be seen in peer reviewed study. Yes there's MORE study but there's still a vast void to be filled.
Now that we have a breakdown of the strains contributing to Orange Runtz we know intuitively much better how this Indica wasn't just stamped out by the sativa phenotype. Rather what happens, for example CBDa is increased to a less than limit of quantization level, present but not able to be measured. The CBG is also at less than Loq but but is diminished to that point.
So that's an important note to make as they're both at less than LOq but that characterizes different aspects of the generics expressing phentypically. CBDa along with the other minor cannabinoids are characteristic In significant levels of Sativa characteristic, cbn, cbc, cbg, cbd, etc. Wjen a is added as a suffix this is just the form present in plant, when smoked or activated it exists as THC does cbd cbc cbn etc.
When looking at the Terpene profile, we see that the chara teristic phenotypical expression of indicas, linalool, humulene, beta caryophyllene these are diminished to a very large degree VS a typical even 60/40 indica. The form of Beta Caryophyllene is also important as its present as Trans caryophyllene, which expresses experiential as less sedating even paired with myrcene. Trans caryophyllene is the most common form of Beta caryophyllene and it makes up 37% cannabis sativa oil, as TC.
This doesn't denote a certain Sativa Experiential note but it doesn't indicate, to a lesser degree, the sort of diminishment of the indica presence. Even though this TC is here, it comes through likely given the parents, as an aspect of the indica expression. Many hybrids like that are Trans caryophyllene rather than beta caryophyllene. Beta Caryophyllene is more sedating ergo more characteristic of indica while TC is less so.
It makes sense the less sedating form be present in many Hybrid Indicas whe.we consider the significance of sativa on the illicit market that controlled the development of US cannabis.I actually argue that we do not know the extent of therapeutic application of cannabis bc it is so under studied, and this cannabis was made for a recreational market. An inherent characteristic isn't the extent of the therapeutic application is my meaning, there Is likely much more to be found, as we focus on other things besides potency and smell. Again that phenomena of the illicit market and how it directly effected the cannabis creators g this "medicinal ' market is important to grasp to more easily intuit these profile expressions.
LInalool & humulene are key inidca support terpenes. Remember they're not just smells, terpenes create the strains, so u can discern effect from smell oftentimes when ur good. Alpha Pinene is Greater than beta pinene so my application of ratio use to Discern strain lean is applicable here, but only partly. This is able to be discerned bc we already know those indica supports are diminished to non measurable levels. So we know alpha pinene is .279% and beta is 0.127%, if we had support of sativa terps, ocimene, terpinolene, sabinene, etc then we'd be more apt to say this expression ratio is representative of the lean. But this one is more complex as per that lack of jndica dominance, which we know to look for given the parent genetics.
When we look at the color, it's definitely a dark indica with burnt orange hairs, but the fluff is nearly sativa, as it's extremely aerated, but still can be squished to a solid squishy mass. The aroma even pushes through some skunks sativa aromas, but the earthy smell can't be denied. As well as the humulene beta pinene mix with myrcene making that rotten hops like aroma. The shape of the buds are resembling a sativa hybrid, like sativa pistols being long and scraggly, the sativa structure of bud is very wild and all over like that.
Indica buds are nice well formed knots, in addition the more triangulation the buds are the more sativa expression is finding its way there. Hence the nuggy cones of illicit hybrids,VS. Some the earlier strains illicitly like skunk, much fluffier than rock hard. The pistols even look to have a little sativa length on the Orange runtz.
This is why terpology is such a useful tool for eve. General smokers to understand. This was sold to me, and explained to me as a Sativa. And I understand why if they had seen the buds and the fluff of them and the pistols. But this is indeed a indica Dominant, but only slightly so. I would label this either a 50/50 or 55/45, likely the later as I sense an indica expression. Though there's qualities.of sativa like the taste isn't as burnt earthy, the aroma is nicer not as musky.
We have the fluff of a sativa, the length of sativa pistols, and the bulbous shape of indicas, a fluff relative to sativa but an earthy musky undertone and dark color like an indica. We start doing this and that 55/45 starts adding up as well.
So shortcuts are useful, but if we listened to the pinene shortcut, that ratio of pinenes to one another is relative of the expression of indica to sativa, sativa represented by alpha and indica by beta. Strawberry Shortcake for example, is a 75% sativa 25% indica lean, and presents so in the pinene profiles. Alpha pinene in Legencberry Shortcake badder by SunMed Growers is 1.25% and beta pinene is 0.25%. A good representation of the actual lean. But you'll also see a "normal" terpological expression otherwise.
So why would the Orange Runtz be this Sativa leaning, or moreover does the climate here in a.mojntainous area effect the sativa heirloom, triggering some natural expressive characteristic, a part of the strength of heirloom genetics. This is represented in the Gorilla Gmue Grown recently by Grow West. The dominant terpinolene level, diminished indica characteristics like here, yet on a 60/40 typically diesel glue smelling indica. Yet it smelled like a sativa and was brighter, and fluffier. There's SIGNIFICANT Sativa contribution in Chems Sister x Sour dubbs x Chocolate Deisel, which you can dig into or see my Gorilla Glue review and see the similar effect as seen here in Orange Runtz. Sarivas develop in an asiatic tropic climate and even the Malawi in this case is out of the Santa CruzMountains. .
This is the importance of terpolgy, the plant can be deceptive. It makes more sense to utilize a POST HARVEST confirmation of Analysis than to reference the pre harvest pre tested plant and bud structures and characteristics. Those characteristics are important and they're often correct. But in these examples, it is a big miss.
The Gorilla Glue From grow west was definitely sativa expressive, even with a diminished beta caryophyllene level. The bud structure is an amalgamation difficult to Discern, dark color, long pistols, earthy aroma but also skunk, fluffy density, tricomes more reminiscent of sativa hair like Trichet of an off white color than the clear trichs with bulbous heads of the indica. All these are reasons its confusing to use structure. Hence Terpology.
